Course Description
The Nurse Practitioner in Emergency and Trauma Care Postgraduate Residency Program is a Residency program with a main focus on competency-based training. The course is of two years duration with the curriculum consisting of theory that includes core courses, advanced practice and clinical courses besides clinical practicum, which is a major component. This course prepares registered BSc / PBBSc nurses for advanced practice roles as clinical experts, managers, educators and consultants leading to M. Sc Nursing (Nurse Practitioner in Emergency and Trauma Care).
Focus
To prepare B.Sc. (Nursing) and Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing graduates for advance practice roles as Emergency & Trauma Care Nurse Practitioners, and Emergency & Trauma Care nurse managers. As leaders, they will improve nursing practice by assuming advanced roles in Emergency, Trauma and critical care units.
Career Prospectus
- On completion of the Nurse Practitioner in Emergency & Trauma Care Post Graduate Residency program allows candidates can work in the Emergency, Trauma and critical care units as critical care nurse practitioners or nurse managers.

Eligibility Criteria
- Pass in B.Sc. (Nursing) / Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council, with a minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent and Minimum of 1-year clinical experience, preferably in any Critical care setup.

- Merit List based on 50% weightage given to MET score and 50% weightage to the marks obtained based on qualifying exam marks
