REPORT OF RADIO TALK
As part of the International Nurses’ Year 2020, the department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal conducted a radio talk with a view to sensitize the public about the significance of theme Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health. Dr.Melita Sheilini, Assistant Professor-selection grade, MCON coordinated the program along with Dr.Latha T Bhat, Assistant Professor-senior scale, Dr.Soumya Christabel, Assistant Professor-senior scale, Mrs. Janet Alva, Assistant Professor-senior scale and Mrs.Janet Prameela D’souza, Assistant Professor MCON Manipal. The areas highlighted in the talk were: Theme and significance of International Nurses Day 2020, contribution of nurses in current pandemic of COVID 19 and the challenges faced by the nurses in COVID 19 scenario. The talk was broadcasted in Radio Manipal 90.4MHz on 30.06.2020 at 5pm and was repeated at 12 noon on 01.07.2020.
