Community Immersion Camp: January 9 to 16, 2026

First Year Students and Faculty (Dr Asha Albuquerque Pai & Dr Selim Jahangir) of the MSW Programme, Department of Social and Health Innovation (DSHI), Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), Manipal organised and participated in a Community Immersion Camp from January 9 to 16, 2026 at Rajgurunagar, Khed, Pune District. They collaborated along with the Bombay Mothers and Children's Welfare Society - an over 100-year-old not for loss organisation and with One Sight Essilor Luxottica Foundation for sponsoring the spectacles for the eye camp.
The rural camp provided students with meaningful field exposure to understand the realities of rural and marginalised communities, as they visited villages and small communities to closely observe living conditions, livelihood patterns and social structures.
